María González-Díaz graduated in Hispanic Studies: Spanish Language and its Literatures from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and received the Extraordinary Degree Prize for the best academic record. At the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid she also studied the Master's Degree in Hispanic Literatures: Art, History and Society, where she received the “Ayudas para el Fomento de la Investigación en Estudios de Máster-UAM 2020” grant. In addition, she has received two excellence grants from the Comunidad de Madrid in the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years. She is currently an PhD Student (FPU) at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where she is working on her doctoral thesis, "Los ángeles en las hagiografías de las santas vivas (1450-1550)", under the supervision of Rebeca Sanmartín Bastida (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and Amelina Correa Ramón (Universidad de Granada).
