Irati Zaitegui Blanco

Irati Zaitegui Blanco, FPI contract holder for this project, is a graduate in ‘Hispanic Philology’ with a major in ‘European Literature and Culture’ from the University of the Basque Country (2019-2023). In 2023-2024 she studied the ‘Master's Degree in Medieval Studies’ at the Complutense University of Madrid. Under the supervision of Rebeca Sanmartín Bastida and Ana Rita Gonçalves Soares, she is currently working on the thesis ‘The Legacy of the Living Saints after Trent: the Mixed Model between Catherine of Siena and Teresa of Jesus’, focused on the study of the models of female sainthood that emerged after the consolidation of the Teresian canon, which present hybrid characteristics coming from the model of the living saint.
